Description

Most school districts in Wisconsin educate students K-12, but some only educate students through the eighth grade. For those students, they move on to one of 10 union high school districts in the state for the 9th-12th grades. As districts and boards navigate their way through declining enrollment and the resulting budgetary issues, they want may to consider the K-8/UHS model as a way to maintain local schools with a high school option. This session will explore the dynamics of K-8/UHS districts to build awareness of they can sustain educational opportunities.
